Our Kentucky boy, Kenny Perry, won for the 14th time on Sunday to take home the Travelers Championship trophy. Perry fired in a final round 63 to capture the win. With his final round of 63, Perry set the tournament record shooting 22 under par - 258 over the four day tournament. He finished 3 strokes better than David Toms and Paul Goydos.
With the victory, Perry has won five times in a little over a year, which is more than any other player on tour. After his opening round of 61 on Thursday, which tied a course record, Perry headed into the final round trailing by a stroke to Paul Goydos. Perry responded by shooting a front nine 32 and headed into the 15th hole with a 5 stoke lead.
The win moves Perry to the front of the Fedex Cup standings. Congrats to Kenny!
