Vick released...

Michael Vick is now a free man, sorta. He still has another month or so before he can leave his home, but he is no longer apart of the Atlanta Falcons organization. Everyone knew this was coming, it was just a matter of when it was going to happen. So what is next for number 7?

Mike Vick is loaded with too much talent to stay on the shelf for long. The guy rushed for over a 1,000 yards just a few years ago. I may be wrong on this and I'm going to be lazy and not look it up, but I'll go out on a limb and say there hasn't been another quarterback in the history of the league to pull off this accomplishment.

So the question remains who is going to take a gamble on him? I know a lot of people think my Oakland Raiders will jump at the oppurtunity. I don't see this happening for a couple of reasons though. First, they have already invested a zillion dollars into Jamarcus Russell for better or worse. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Oakland has had a very quiet and productive off season this year. No reason to go and screw it up now by signing Vick. Finally, there are already rumors of a qaurterback controversy with the Raiders going out and signing Jeff Garcia. They have also added Charlie Frye and Bruce Gradowski. So there is no room on this team for Vick. I've heard that St. Louis could be interested in Vick's services. This is an interesting idea. The Rams need something to help boost that pathetic offense they placed on the field the past year or two. Vick could be that shot in the arm they are needing to go with Stephen Jackson.

Personally, I want to see him sign with the Buffalo Bills. Why? Come on, who doesn't want to see Vick throwing bombs to Terrel Owens on Sundays? Thats pure entertainment waiting to happen. Vick would have plenty of weapons to throw too up in Buffalo. T.O., Lee Evans (who doesen't seem to always get the credit he deserves as a wr), and my personal favorite...STEVIE JOHNSON. (I'm not saying this because he was courteous enough to give us an interview. I actually liked him coming out of Kentucky last year, I was praying he would fall two more picks to Oakland. Oh Well, you can't get everyone you want).

Whomever lands Vick is going to get the perfect person to run the wildcat formation. It almost seems as if this offense was designed for him. Whoever lands him will also more than likely get a bunch of P.E.T.A. members protesting outside their stadiums before games as well. None of this will matter if Goodell decides to be a communist and not reinstate him just to prove his power. I guess we'll see what happens within the next few months.
