The Portland Trailblazers have continued putting together a solid nucleus of young basketball players and now this new signing may help put them over the top next year. The Blazers have signed Andre Miller to a 3 year, 21 million dollar deal.
Miller is no spring chicken like a lot of the other players in Portland, but he might just be what that team needs the most. He could bring some veteran leadership to this young squad and do it from the most important position on the court. Miller has always been known as a gym rat ever since he entered the league in 1999 by the Cleveland Cavs. This was back in the days when the Cavs were rocking the blue and black jerseys and bout 30 wins a year.
Back to Portland real quick though. The most important thing that Andre Miller is going to bring to the Blazers is the fact that Brandon Roy shouldn't have to handle the ball nearly as much anymore and can expend more energy getting open looks. If he gets open, I gaurantee Miller will find him.
