Yesterday the sports world was shocked to find out the news regarding Steve "Air" McNair's sudden death in Nashville, TN. McNair's death appears to be one of very, very sketchy circumstances, but that shouldn't take away from his contributions to the game.
McNair was the consummate gentleman throughout his entire career and played through injuries that would make Earl Campbell proud. While his stats may not have always been the flashiest, there is a reason he was named Co-MVP in 2003 with Peyton Manning, because of his incredible leadership abilities and a willingness to win.
RIP, Air McNair.
