Steve Kerr has attempted to resurrect a relationship with his fan base in the Valley of the Sun by inking Steve Nash to a two-year contract extension worth about 20 million.
The two-time MVP helped restore a competitive nature and brought a flash and dash style to a team that was slipping into mediocrity. The Suns, after Nash's signing, quickly became one of the most popular franchises in the NBA due to their up and down pace and bringing high-scoring offenses back to the forefront.
Hopefully Kerr realizes what he has in Nash and lets this team attempt to play to the best of its abilities instead of turning them into a poor-man's version of the San Antonio Spurs. If, and thats a big if, they resign Amare to go along side Nash, the Suns still have the ability to be a competitive team in the Western Conference.
