You know we're not exactly inclined to talk about the sport that is known as baseball, but slow times call for desperate measures.
The Philadelphia Phillies landed another ace to bolster their rotation and increase their chances to return to the World Series. Cliff Lee will be leaving the Cleveland to join the Phillies immediately, in a deal that involved four minor-leaguers from the Phillies farm system.
Lee, who was spectacular all last season when he won the Cy Young, is putting up another impressive season with a 3.14 ERA and a 7-9 record. Teaming Lee with Cole Hamels provides Philadelphia with one of the best starting rotations in the National League and two quality number 1 starters.
