Quick update on Xavier Henry.....

Henry has stated that he still plans to attend KU even though he has chosen to skip the summer school session he had planned to enroll in at KU.

We'll let you know if anything else occurs with this situation....which could happen with this crazy family!

*EDIT*

Straight from Carl Henry's(C.J. & Xavier's Father) mouth...VIA Kansas' Rivals site.

"My two boys are going to Kansas," he added. "In fact, Xavier and C.J. are both enrolled at Kansas. Nothing has changed and we aren't mad or upset at coach Self. A lot of things have been said, but none of it is true. Nothing has changed with Xavier and C.J. and we aren't mad or upset at Coach Self. Xavier and C.J. are definitely going to Kansas."

Looks like all the uproar last night was unwarranted.

Well, Ain't He Just Perfect...

Tom Brady must be the luckiest man on the planet. Not only is he a future Hall of Famer, but he has the pleasure of dating one of the most beautiful women on the planet. Now we are blessed with the news that Mr. Brady heals better than you and I. Of course he would...he's Tom Brady.

I wish I could find a way to despise Tom Brady. I hope that one day he will provide me with the ammunition I need to fire away, but, at the moment, Brady continues to be the perfect human being with the perfect life (except for playing for Mr. Personality, Bill Belicheck).

Thanks again, Tom.

Fans can take it too far...

Jonathan Crompton apparently recieved at least two death threat emails last year during the Tennessee Volunteers' subpar football season were they finished 5-7. There is no doubt that all the Vols' fans couldn't be happy with how their team performed last year but that is no excuse for this kid to recieve life threatening messages. His parents became concerned when Crompton recieved a box in the mail with slandering messages written all across the box. I mean come on, at the end of the day it is just a sport, nothing more and nothing less.

It takes a sad person with a lot of time on their hands (and possibly a criminal record) to take the time out of their life to send a box like this to a college kid. The ESPN article never stated if it was a Tennessee fan or fans of another program that had sent the death threats, it doesn't really matter who sent it. I hope they can pinpoint it back to the person(s) and proscute them.

I am a huge fan of different teams in different sports, but I couldn't ever imagine it dominating my life so much that if my team isn't doing great, (which I have experienced the last 6 years with the Oakland Raiders) that I would feel the need to threaten a player's life for it.

Sometimes, I think fans need to step back and realize it is just a game. Teams have years were they are going to be on top and then there are years they will be on the bottom. It's the circle of life expanding into the sports world. If someone dominated all the time then what would be the fun of it? It wouldn't be fun unless that team was the Duke Bluedevils.

I'll say this in closing, it looks as if Lane Kiffin coming in and doing all the ridiculous things he's managed to do in the past few months should take the heat off the quarterback. At least, he's doing something right, even if it is not on purpose.
